The 4th annual event called POSETTE: An Event for Postgres will happen Jun 10-12, 2025 and the Call for Speakers is now open—until Feb 9, 2025! POSETTE is a free & virtual developer event organized by the Postgres team at Microsoft. The name POSETTE stands for Postgres Open Source Ecosystem Talks Training & Education. First time & experienced speakers both welcome! Whether you’re a first-time speaker or a regular speaker at conferences, we’d love to consider your talk proposal(s) about Postgres and the rich tooling and extensions (like PostGIS, Citus, & Patroni) in the Postgres ecosystem—both open source and for Postgres in the cloud on Azure.

4 Unique Livestreams

There will be 4 unique livestreams: 2 in Americas workday timezones (PDT), and 2 in EMEA workday timezones (CEST). Each livestream will have its own keynote and set of talks—no repeats among the livestreams.

Call for Papers - PGConf India, 2024

India PostgreSQL User Group is pleased to announce that PGConf India 2024 will be held in Bengaluru, India on February 28th, 29th and March 1st, 2024.

Call for papers is out now! Please submit your proposal by signing up on https://pgconf.in and following the instructions there. The last date for submission is November 15th, 2023. We would encourage everyone to submit their proposals as early as possible without waiting till the last date.

With growing popularity and adoption of PostgreSQL, PGConf India has become one of the largest events in this part of the world. We expect more than 400 delegates to attend this upcoming event. So this gives you a great opportunity to present your work in front of a large audience. More details about the conference are available on the conference website https://pgconf.in

General Guidelines to follow when submitting your paper:

If you are doing something interesting with PostgreSQL, please submit a proposal. You might be one of the backend hackers or work on a PostgreSQL related project and want to share your know-how with others. You might be developing an interesting system using PostgreSQL as the foundation. Perhaps you migrated from another database to PostgreSQL and would like to share details.

Here are a few ideas to jump start your proposal process:

The conference is attended by a large variety of folks, including CxOs, PostgreSQL engine developers, application developers and database administrators. So you are bound to find enough people interested in any topic around PostgreSQL.

The Call for Papers is now open for PGCloud Conference London! Taking place in London on 10th August 2023.

We are looking for proposals in English on any topic relating to PostgreSQL and how to optimize, manage, and scale it in a cloud environment. Talk submissions are welcome from a wide variety of PostgreSQL users, from app developers, DBAs, operations engineers, decision makers, and PostgreSQL contributors.

Submission deadline is 9th June 2023 and selected speakers will be notified by 23rd June 2023. To submit your proposal(s), please complete the form via the event website: https://pgcloudconferencelondon.splashthat.com/

PostgreSQL@SCaLE20x: the schedule is up!

PostgreSQL(at)SCaLE is a two day, two track event that takes place on Thursday-Friday March 9-10, 2023, in Pasadena, California, at the Pasadena Convention Center as part of SCaLE 20x. SCaLE is the largest community-run open-source and free software conference in North America. It is held annually in the greater Los Angeles area.

The schedule for PostgreSQL@SCaLE is in teal on Thursday's and Friday's schedules.

Registration is open, and covers all four days of SCaLE.

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the FOSDEM PGDay 2023 conference, which will be held on February 3rd, 2023, at the Renaissance Brussels Hotel in Brussels.

In addition to the FOSDEM PGDay conference on February 3rd, the main FOSDEM conference will also be held in Brussels on February 4th and 5th. FOSDEM is a free and open-source software conference that attracts thousands of attendees from around the world. It offers a wide range of talks and workshops on a variety of open-source topics. If you are planning to attend FOSDEM PGDay, we encourage you to also consider attending the main FOSDEM conference.

The PostgreSQL Project also participates in FOSDEM; we will be present with a booth on both days, and we have a Devroom on Sunday.

FOSDEM PGDay is an annual conference dedicated to the open-source PostgreSQL database. It brings together PostgreSQL users, developers, and experts from around the world to share their knowledge and experiences. There will also be ample opportunities for networking and collaboration.
