pgDay Paris 2025 - Call for Papers and Sponsorship Opportunities

We are thrilled to announce that the annual PostgreSQL Paris conference will take place on March 20, 2025, and we are now open for talk submissions and seeking sponsors.

Call for Papers

If you are working on an exciting, innovative project or have expertise you’d like to share with the PostgreSQL community, submit your talk by December 31, 2025.

PostgreSQL Conference Germany 2025

PGConf.de 2025 is the next iteration of the PostgreSQL Conference Germany. It takes place in the "Berlin Marriott Hotel" in Berlin.

The conference will take place on May 8th and 9th, 2025.

Registration for the conference is open. Talks will be in German or English language. Tickets must be purchased online. The Call for Papers is open. We'll announce the Call for Sponsors in the coming days.

Prague PostgreSQL Developer Day 2025 / Call for Papers & Sponsors

Prague PostgreSQL Developer Day 2025 (P2D2 2025) will be held on January 28-29 in Prague, Czech Republic. The conference focuses on topics for PostgreSQL users and developers. For more information about the event, please see the website at

We are now accepting proposals for talks and trainings in both Czech and English. As in previous years, the conference is a single-track event with a mix of talks in Czech and English.

The talk sessions are 45 minutes long (but may be shorter if requested) and may be on any PostgreSQL-related topic. We're also looking for trainings (either half-day or whole-day) for the first day (January 28). To submit a training proposal, use the same form as for regular talks (there's a field to pick talk/training).

Finally, we are considering to include a session of lightning talks (short talks, five minute each). A separate call for proposals will be made for them during the event.

The submission deadline is November 24 (which is Sunday), end of day. Selected speakers will be notified / confirmed shortly afterwards.

The proposals will be considered by committee who will produce a schedule to be published about a month before the event.

All selected speakers will get free entry to the conference (excluding training sessions). We do offer covering travel and accommodations for foreign speakers (generally enough for two nights in a hotel and travel within Europe). If you require assistance with funding to be able to attend, please make a note of this in the submission notes field.

New Trademark Policy and Recognised User Group Guidelines

On the advice of the PostgreSQL Project’s legal counsel, the PostgreSQL Project has updated the PostgreSQL Trademark Policy covering the “Postgres” and “PostgreSQL” word marks and the “Slonik” elephant graphical trademark. You can view the updates here:

In order to support this change and to provide as much flexibility in the use of the marks to the community as possible, we have also introduced a new set of guidelines for Recognised User Groups, similar to those already in place for Non Profit organisations and Conferences:

As is the case with many Open Source projects, it is important that the PostgreSQL Project’s brand is used in alignment with the goals and best interests of the community. The PostgreSQL Core Team and the PostgreSQL Community Association of Canada, who administer the marks, have worked closely with our legal counsel to ensure that the policy is both open and fair when using the PostgreSQL brand.
