Hi!

It turns out that the typical crew of meeting organizers are all going
to be occupied - a first after about five years. :)

So -- who is available to carry the torch this Thursday?

I'd suggest a pub meeting. Beta2 is out this morning, so you could
have an install party, or chat about what features you'd like covered
in upcoming meetings.

I guess that means no one wants to meet up. :)

In better news, we have a speaker scheduled for next month, on July 21
- R and Postgres with Chris Monsere from PSU!

See you next month.

Aww, I was hoping for this to be my first meeting and get to meet all
of you. See you next month then.

If people just want to meet and don't care about new content,
I could rerun the "King of the Data Jungle" puppet show. I
wouldn't mind a dress rehearsal before OSBridge. In fact,
I was just setting my stuff up right now.

If someone can meet me in the downtown area during the day, I can hand
off the video camera for a video rehearsal. :)

Awesome! If you're going to do it at FreeGeek, someone needs to give
them a call and make sure you have a Key Master around.
(I don't know if they are called that, but it would be awesome if they were).

Could those that want to show up for a preview of Melissa's talk
please respond to this thread? :)

I was eyeing Melissa's talk on the Open Source Bridge sessions list.
I'd love a preview :)

Awesome!

Melissa - can you give Free Geek a call and figure out if you can use the space?

I left voice mail. We'll see what they say when they call
back, I guess.

I think they just changed the hours of operation such that they close
at 6PM, and are gone well before 7. Theoretically I can open the
building without setting off the alarm, but I've only ever armed the
alarm before.

They say we're already reserved from 7:00-9:00.

As to how we'll get in . . . um . . . I forgot about the change
of hours. Wanna test your open-the-building theory in practice?

Okee-doke, so we're on for tonight at 7:00.

I'm not expecting heavy turnout. Surprise me, okay?

June 16th meeting report:

This was not an exciting meeting, as meetings go.
We did have two new members turn up, which was
nice--hi, guys!

I previewed my show and got some feedback (too much
echo). Then a couple of people went to the Lucky
Lab, but I bailed, so I don't know what happened
after that.
